When I was in California I had the total honor of photographing/videoing one of my best friends proposing to his girlfriend. I had never met Angela until now and I can see why Jason is madly in love with her. She's such a great girl and I'm so happy for Jason. Jason and I had been talking for weeks about how we were going to capture the proposal with photo and video. We decided to set up a "fake" photo shoot, telling Ang that I wanted to take some photos of the two of them as a gift and also for my portfolio. I was borrowing a new camera from a friend and wanted to test out some video as well. We decided that once we found a good location, we would take some normal shots, than I would arrange the two of them so that Angela was in front, with Jason behind her a few feet so that he'd be out of focus, but also, so that she couldn't see him. Jason wanted the camera to be able to see what he was doing before she did, so I snapped off some frames/video of him holding the ring right behind her before he put is arms around her, holding the ring out so she could see it, then getting down on his knee and asking for her to marry him. The video isn't qite ready yet, but here are some frames of how it went down. This is one of the first shots taken when we got to the location.

I don't have any still photos of the actual proposal since Jason wanted me to video it. Once I have the video edited I'll post it, but here are the reaction shots after he proposed.... YES!!!!!!!!!
