We did something a little different for this wedding. We decided to do all the photos of Acia and Sandy the day after the wedding. This allowed them to spend as much time with their friends and famly directly after the ceremony and gave us more freedom to do some cool things the next day.

Laura and Roger were so great to work with. They are such a gorgeous couple and they have amazing chemistry. Their families and friends were so welcoming and so much fun to hang out with. Thank you all so much for making our trip inredibly enjoyable.

I brought my good friend and fellow photographer, Ben Harrison down with me as my 2nd shooter. It was great to have him along because he's such a great photographer too and he got some really great shots.

I just wanted to quick post some photos before I head out of my room to check out.

I'm very excited, not only because it's freezing here and it'll be nice to get out of the cold, but because Laura and Roger are awesome and their families are awesome too! I've been looking forward to this wedding all year and I can't wait to show off their images.

Beth's flower girl, Bailey, stole the show at the salon, going crazy with the camera, taking photos of everything and everyone. She was my little assistant for the day.

The guys went to lunch at Palazzo di Bocce which is a restaurant that has indoor bocce ball courts. I absolutley LOVE this place. It's such a great concept and a great atmosphere. I would love to bring one to Grand Rapids.

Beth and her dad surprised everyone by busting out to "Great Balls of Fire" instead of the "traditional" father daughter dance.

It's hard to know how to act and what's appropriate to take photos of in these situations. I wish I would have grabbed more shots and took more gear with me but because I don't find myself in these situations much, so I wasn't as mentally prepared as I should've been.

I didn't know it at the time, but unfortunately, the women who was driving the red car was pronounced dead at the scene. I chose not to look in the car because I really didn't want those images in my memory bank and I'm really glad, now that i know she had in fact died, that I didn't. It really gave me an eerie feeling to know that a women had just been killed in this accident and how life can be taken away from us at any second. Fortunately the woman driving the Jeep was not injured (no, that's not blood).

I pray the friends and family of the deceased will find comfort and peace in the midst of this tragedy.
